We compare today against what that exact thing has actually cost us to observe over time, and tell you plainly whether to buy it or wait.
We are early. Retail prices currently come from Google Shopping, which gives us genuine live prices from real UK shops but does not tell us which sizes are in stock. So right now we show you the cheapest listing for a product, not for a particular size, and we do not pretend otherwise.
We are in the process of onboarding retailers directly, which will bring barcode level matching and per size stock with it. When that lands, the answer gets sharper: the cheapest price for a UK 9 that is actually sitting in a warehouse. We would rather tell you what we can stand behind today than promise it early.
Not against a recommended retail price the brand made up, and not against a “was” figure that has not been charged since March. We log the cheapest price we can find every single night, and today gets measured against that record. Where we do not yet have enough history to be confident, we say so instead of inventing a verdict.
Set the price you would actually pay, and we will email you the first time any UK retailer beats it in your size. If it never gets there, you never hear from us. Most weeks you will not, which is rather the point.
