Nothing on this site currently earns us anything. The links go straight to the retailer with no tracking on them at all, because we have not yet joined the affiliate programmes that would pay us.
That will change. When we do join them, clicking through to a retailer and buying something may earn us a commission. It will cost you nothing: the price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone there directly. We will say so here plainly rather than quietly switching the links over.
It does not change the order retailers appear in. Results are ranked on the total price including delivery, cheapest first, full stop. A retailer that pays us more does not move up, a retailer that pays us nothing is shown exactly the same as one that does, and no retailer can buy a position, a badge or a mention. We do not sell placement, because the moment we did the rankings would stop being worth reading.
Flight prices come from Google Flights. Retail prices currently come from Google Shopping, which lists what real UK shops are charging. We are onboarding retailers directly, and as that happens their own product feeds become the source. We do not scrape retailer websites.
It means every UK retailer we can legitimately reach, not literally every website in the country. No comparison site covers everything, and any that claims to is not being straight with you. Each product page tells you exactly how many retailers were listing the product when we last looked.
We refresh prices every night. Between refreshes a retailer can change a price or sell out, so the figure you see may occasionally be out of date by the time you click. If the price at the checkout does not match what we showed you, we would genuinely like to know.
